Venue verification policy

We do not claim every venue has been visited or independently verified. Instead, we show the evidence basis for each listing so you can judge its reliability.

Verification statuses

Unverified

The listing exists in our system but has not yet been checked against a public source. This status is rare and temporary.

Public listing checked

Information has been matched against a public business listing such as Google Maps. Address, phone, hours and coordinates are taken from that source and may change.

Official website checked

Key details have been confirmed against the venue's own website or official social media account.

Owner confirmed

The venue owner or manager has supplied or confirmed information directly. We still encourage visitors to confirm hours before going.

Editorially visited

A Morocco Bars editor has visited the venue in person. We only use this status when we have evidence of a visit, and we do not invent first-hand experiences.

What we never do

• We never invent ratings, reviews, opening hours, prices or contact details.
• We never claim a venue has been visited unless an editor has actually been there.
• We never present third-party Google ratings as Morocco Bars ratings.
• We never keep a misleading listing live after confirming it is wrong.

Data freshness

Venues open, close and change hours constantly. Even verified listings should be confirmed before a visit. Each venue page shows the last review or verification date where available.
